📖 The Story
Basant Panchami celebrates the goddess Saraswati — the deity of knowledge, wisdom, music, and the arts. According to mythology, Brahma created the world but felt it was silent and lifeless. He then created Saraswati from his own body, and when she played her veena, the entire world received voice, sound, and knowledge. The colour yellow is central to this festival, representing the mustard fields in bloom and the warmth of spring.

Dress in yellow clothes. Place books, pens, and musical instruments before Saraswati for her blessings. Offer yellow flowers, yellow sweets (especially boondi), and yellow rice. Students should touch their study books and seek her blessing for wisdom.
