Ram Navami
राम नवमी
Birth anniversary of Lord Rama — the ideal king
📖 The Story
Ram Navami celebrates the birth of Lord Rama, the seventh avatar of Vishnu and the hero of the Ramayana. Rama was born to King Dasharatha and Queen Kaushalya of Ayodhya at midday on the ninth day (Navami) of the bright half (Shukla Paksha) of the month of Chaitra. Rama is considered the ideal man — the perfect son, husband, king, and warrior. His story teaches dharma (righteous duty) and the ultimate victory of truth over evil.
