Hanuman Jayanti
हनुमान जयंती
Birth of Lord Hanuman — devotion, strength and courage
📖 The Story
Hanuman Jayanti celebrates the birth of Lord Hanuman, the greatest devotee of Lord Rama. Hanuman was born to Anjana and Kesari, blessed by Vayu (wind god) and Shiva. From childhood, he showed extraordinary powers — as a baby he tried to swallow the sun thinking it was a fruit. Hanuman is the symbol of ultimate devotion, strength, courage, and selfless service. He single-handedly burned Lanka, carried the Sanjeevani mountain, and was the decisive force in Rama's victory over Ravana.
